14 reasons to invest in a property in Sibiu
19.09.2018

„The name of the Father, the Son, to Sibiu begone" is a wordplay that has been uttered at least once in his life by every Sibiu resident. The city in the heart of Transylvania has many strengths and is visited every year by thousands of tourists from around the world. In addition, the city is changing increasingly, so let's see why a real estate investment in Sibiu is an excellent idea.
The reasons are not listed in the order of their importance, we consider that they are all equally relevant!

1. Traffic in Sibiu is still decent! Grumblers will mention here the fact that on some arteries there is congestion at rush hour. That's right, only that overall we are happy that traffic is ok compared to other cities in Romania.

2. Sibiu is a peaceful city, where citizens are not afraid to walk home even in the late hours, to let their children walk to the nearby school or to enjoy a walk even in the neighborhoods on the outskirts.

3. Lacul lui Binder/Binder Lake will also be transformed into an unique place in Sibiu. According to the source „Turnu Sfatului”, „the lake will have cable systems for water skiing, a pier for kayaks, an amphitheater with a floating stage and beaches”. All these aspects bring added value to the „Lake Residence” project, because the location is of extraordinary beauty and close to the center of Sibiu.

4. The people of Sibiu do not miss the „7 years from home” (proper upbringing in the first 7 years). Not that we are from here, but we consider that the people of Sibiu are fine and kind people, whom anyone would like to have around. Of course, there are always rotten apples, but we prefer to focus on the pluses. Sibiu City Hall is currently running a campaign „The city of the 7 years from home”, an additional reason why we are glad to live in Sibiu.

5. Kindergartens, schools, universities. For all tastes and preferences. Parents from Sibiu take their children to private kindergartens where they can learn exclusively in German, for example, from an early age. There are many prestigious elementary schools, and lyceums and faculties in the city attract students from all over the region every fall. There are also many After School-programs, with all kinds of activities for kids. Multinational companies operating in Sibiu even open internal kindergartens, to facilitate the lives of employees.

6. Jobs in Sibiu have multiplied considerably in the last decade, when many investors from the country and abroad have decided to move their businesses here. The unemployment rate is close to 0 and the standard of living of the people of Sibiu has increased a lot. We also see this due to the fact that the demand for apartments for sale in Sibiu has increased.

7. The city is an attraction for all Romanians, but also for tourists from abroad. We often hear various foreign languages on the narrow streets of the Old Town, and this can only make us happy. The Sibiu real estate market has also developed in the hotel-style rental sector, a simple search on the profile websites will prove this.

8. Sibiu Airport provides a fairly easy connection between Sibiu and several large cities in Europe. It's easy for tourists to come to us, but it's also easy for us to travel low cost for a relaxing citybreak in Europe.

9. The Sibiu International Theater Festival has become known all over the world and art and theater lovers reserve their tickets in advance every summer, and the Faust hall specially arranged for this show proves to be too small every time. The Jazz Festival, another attraction for art lovers, also takes place in Sibiu in the summer.

10. The Sibiu ring road makes life more beautiful for the people of Sibiu: this is one of the most practical and beautiful ring roads in the country.

11. About half of Sibiu's population speaks German or English. The city is „European” not only by name and this is probably a key reason why we enjoy the presence of tourists and investors.

12. Over 50% of Sibiu residents are part of the middle class. When the middle class is the dominant one in a city and there are no major social discrepancies, we are talking about balance and a healthy society. Like the one in Sibiu.

13. Sibiu Street Art Festival is the undertaking that slowly changes the image of the city. Dozens of buildings have already been reconditioned and beautifully painted: schools, Casa de Cultura, Sala Transilvania or simple blocks of flats have taken on color thanks to this project.

14. Last but not least, the until now precarious shopping in Sibiu will gain in size beginning with autumn of next year. Near Podul Gării/Train station bridge the largest Promenada Mall in the region with children's playgrounds, dining area, dozens of shops, cinema, is being built. In a little bit, dear people of Sibiu! In a little bit!
