In addition to joy, shared emotions and time spent with loved ones, winter holidays are also expected for the delicious culinary feast. In different parts of the world, people prepare properly for Christmas Eve and use the culinary traditions specific to the area they belong to. If the Romanians don't miss the sarmales and the beef salad, in every country there are some foods that are always found on the Christmas table.

In today's real estate blog article are presented the dishes put by families from different countries on the Christmas table.

1. Italy
It is no longer a novelty that Italians love tasty food and have many specialties. In Italy, the main traditional Christmas meal is called the Feast of Seven Fishes, being composed of: linguine with lobster or ham sauce, squid, fried shrimp or fish, octopus salad, squid stuffed with tomato sauce, etc. When it comes to desserts, Italians are proud of sweet bread, such as pandoro and panettone.

2. France
In France, the Christmas table is characterized by a lot of refinement. Specialties include foie gras, Calendeau bread, smoked salmon, white pudding, duck, goose, etc. The favorite dessert of the French is La buche de Noel, a traditional chocolate and chestnut dessert, discovered since the 19th century. Wines are very important at Christmas table, so for foie gras a sweet wine is drunk, and for dessert it is served with champagne.

3. Sweden
For Swedes, the most important day is Christmas Eve. Then a special meal of fish, beans and ham is prepared. The traditional Christmas dinner includes, in most cases, a specific buffet with ham, pork or fish, as well as a diverse range of sweets. A tradition of the Swedes during the winter holidays is the preparation of a special rice porridge in which an almond is hidden, and the person who finds this almond makes a wish.

4. Spain
Rice, oranges and almonds are found every year on the Spaniards' Christmas table. Most traditional dishes are based on almonds, pine nuts, nuts and dried fruit. In addition, the fish, prepared in various ways, is indispensable on the Christmas table.

5. Japan
While in other countries for the Christmas meal traditional dishes are cooked, one of the tastiest, in Japan this does not happen very often. For many years, for the Japanese, the Christmas table has consisted of KFC dishes. The tradition started with rumors that the traditional Christmas food in America is fried chicken. To catch a meal at KFC on Christmas Day, the Japanese make reservations a few days in advance.

6. Great Britain
At Christmas, the English choose to cook baked turkey breaded with chestnuts, raisin goose or Yorkshire pudding. Their favorite dish is plum pudding garnished with a sprig of holly. As a drink, they opt for a wine mixed with spices, called Wassail, and the dessert is a cake consisting of fruit, marzipan, ice cream and icing sugar.
