For 10 years, the „Prima Casă” Program has naturally expanded access to credit for young people up to the age of 35, giving them the chance to purchase their own home.

This year too, young people will be able to benefit from this type of funding. The official news comes today, March 1st, after the National Credit Guarantee Fund for SMEs (FNGCIMM) received the approval of the Ministry of Finance to distribute the amount of 1.987 billion lei for housing purchase.

„The beginning of 2019 marks for FNGCIMM, as state representative through the Ministry of Public Finance, the debut of a new stage in the development of operational processes dedicated to the Prima Casă Program, and also the materialization of one of the main strategic objectives of the institution – digitalization and automation of internal workflow, as a result of the implementation of some projects started during 2018”, it is shown in the press release from the Guarantee Fund.

What are the conditions and at which banking institutions are the applications received?
The granting conditions are the same as before, the advance required for the purchase is at least 5%, and Romanian applicants will be able to use 15 banking institutions: BRD, BCR, Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, OTP Bank, Banca Românească, Unicredit Bank, Garanti Bank, First Bank, Marfin Bank, Credit Agricole, Bank Leumi and Intesa Sanpaolo.
From the moment of program launch (in the year 2009) until the end of December 2018, 267,752 guarantees and guarantee promises were granted, with a total value of 23.7 billion lei.
