Music theme in an apartment in City Residence

I was recently invited to see a newly arranged apartment in the City Residence residential complex in Sibiu and I was really impressed by how beautiful an apartment of only 64 usable square meters can be arranged. So, I decided to also write a material for our online readers. The apartment is not for sale, but I hope you like it and, why not, that it inspires you to remodel your own homes.

The owner of the apartment in the pictures is a great lover of music and the arrangement of the apartment with many musical objects, paintings with scores, musical instruments, was what he always imagined for his own home.
However, he also wanted it to be a practical home. Thus, he intertwined the functionality with the musical elements in an unique way.

Completely differently arranged bedrooms, large and diverse bookshelf, fireplace that looks great, but also serves as a heat source, sofa and coffee table, paintings with scores and strategically placed vintage musical instruments intertwine beautifully in a special design, and the result is unique, pleasing to the eye.

The living area, the heart of the Rhapsody apartment
The entrance to the apartment is in an open hallway from where you can see the whole living room. The main element of this room is the beautiful bookshelf, which holds both current publications and old volumes. The two bookshelves frame a beautiful fireplace and within a few seconds I imagined a winter afternoon at the fireplace, with a good book in hand.
Next to the bookshelf and fireplace there are a sofa and a coffee table, placed on a carpet in shades of sand and blue. The radiators were hidden by furniture, as is the case with the kitchen.

Where's the kitchen? There’s no kitchen!
The aspect that probably impressed me the most in this apartment is the fact that, at first sight, I thought it did not have a kitchen, because it is hidden, 100% incorporated. The kitchen is actually in the large closet that completes the living room furniture. This is the place where the owner hid the sink, the refrigerator, the folding table, the chairs, but also other storage spaces so necessary for any family.

The Romanian room
The Rhapsody apartment has two bedrooms of 13.5 sqm and 12 sqm. A unique thing is the fact that one of the bedrooms is arranged 100% in traditional Romanian style with elements that remind us of the old times. Dark parquet, pure wooden bedside tables, wooden bed, all bring us closer to nature.

The traditional print found on the bed linen or the curtains only completes the decor beautifully. Another aspect that impressed me here are the textures used, the blanket on the bed is made of wool, crocheted by hand, and the details on the pillowcases are unique and I think of the dowry that my grandmother on my mother's side prepared for me.

Particularity of details
The whole apartment gives you a feeling of well-being, it is comfortable, it is beautifully arranged, but certainly the beauty consists in the particularity of the details that refer to the world of music. The scores were noted by a late music teacher and the musical instruments date back decades and were purchased at vintage fairs in the country.

How much does it cost to arrange an apartment like this?
The house in the pictures was an apartment for sale with delivery in the gray phase, so the sum of the arrangement costs consists of finishes, furniture, and then the small details that make the difference. Initially, the owner allocated a budget of 10,000 euros for all the arrangements, and it was only slightly exceeded.

The finishes have been carefully chosen, quality products and materials have been chosen, and this can be seen everywhere. The parquet, the paint on the walls, the finishes in the bathroom, quality prevails everywhere. The furniture was made to order, to „dress“ each room perfectly. The most expensive items in the apartment were the library and the hidden kitchen. Together they cost about 4,000 euros.
