Out of love for children and football. An interview with Florin Pintilie

1. Hi, Florin. We are glad that you are part of our section with nice people from Alba. Please tell, whats the story of them big puppys .....
The club was born on my initiative and that of the unfortunate footballer Florian Brumaru (BEBE), after we both said "step" to another football club in Sebes, where we were active and we no longer found ourselves in terms of football. Also, behind this decision was my desire to bring youth football to our commune because the children had no alternatives from a sports point of view.
Here, in Sasciori, I found the kindness and support of the Local Council and the Sasciori City Hall.

2. What should a sports club do to get children into a particular sport?
In order to attract children, a sports club must, first of all, have a serious organization. Here I mean well-educated coaches, football-trained, patient and good teachers.

Sport leads to beautiful results as long as it is done with pleasure and on one's own initiative. At the same time, even a minor reward (a medal, a diploma, a pizza or a juice) will bring joy to the children and will make them gladly come to training.

3. How many groups of children are currently coached at the club and who are the coaches behind them?
Our club has 12 groups of children, of which: 10 groups are registered in the competitions organized by the Alba County Football Association, and the other 2 groups are made up of younger children (born between 2015-2017), who will between summer and sports competitions.

At the moment, the club enjoys the presence of 7 coaches: Mircea Tarlea, Calin Avram, Mihai Ciorgovean, Gheorghe Medrea, Vlad Galdean, Marian Cristea and Paul Coman. They carry out their coaching activity in the localities of Sasciori, Petresti, Sebes and Alba Iulia.

4. To review the achievements of the club, what are the most notable performances of the athletes from the club in Sasciori?
I can happily say that there are some performances gathered in these years that make us proud and eager to work even harder. Among the most notable are:

Participation with the group of children born in 2005-2006 in the zonal tournament in 2018, held in Cluj-Napoca, as a result of winning the first place in the county in this age category. There I played the final with Luceafarul "U" Cluj, which unfortunately I lost.

Participating with the group of children born in 2006-2007, winners of the title of county champions "Under 13", I participated in 2019 in the zonal tournament of the junior football championship, held in Timisoara.

Ranking every year on the podium the group of children born in 2008 (U14), at the County Football Championship.

The transfer of three of our players to famous clubs in the country: Grosu Stefan (2005) transferred to the Metan Medias Gas Club, Groza Daniel (2006) to the CFR Cluj 1907 club and Gall Tudor (2006) to CFR Cluj 1907.

The most important success is the participation in 2018, with the group of children born in 2008, at the prestigious international tournament Milan Footbal Festival, where after 4 successes and a draw (2-2 with Inter Milan) we ranked 5th.

5. What has been the evolution of the club over time and what influence has it had on the community?
The club has had an upward trajectory in recent years. If in 2017, the year the club was founded, we had a number of 60 children enrolled, at the moment we exceed 200 children trained at our club.

In terms of influence on the community, things have taken a positive turn here as well. Today, many children in rural areas have the opportunity to play football at the children's level in the city. I participated in many tournaments in the country and abroad (Bulgaria-Albena, Italy-Milan), and the name of our commune was highlighted on the football map both at county level and at national and international level.

6. We know that coach Bebe Brumaru had a great impact on the club. What does it mean for a sports club to have almost a coach?
Bebe Brumaru had a great impact because he knew how to organize us and he believed in playing good quality football in the village as well. "Florine, like here on the field in Sasciori with the children in training, surrounded by these beautiful hills, believe me, I don't feel better anywhere", are the words that the very unfortunate Bebe Brumaru used to say to me very often.

From my point of view, the coach has a great significance for his club, no matter what type of sports club we are talking about, and represents 80% of what such a group means. As a child coach you must have the following qualities: patience, a pleasant vocal tone and seriousness in training.
I can say that we have the most balanced coaches in the county, people who came with their soul in this project, and that says it all. For both me and them, the financial side is always in second place. All our coaches are very well trained from a football point of view, each with a license in this field, and most of them played football.
7. In rural areas, the challenges are greater. How does the club help players who do not have many possibilities?
Our club does free training for all disadvantaged children, we help them with transportation
at matches (traveling with the club's minibuses), we offer them free play equipment, training camps, etc.
We would like to thank all the sponsors who come to our aid, the Local Council and the mayor of Sasciori commune.

8. It is said that the most important thing is to play and enjoy every opportunity. How about a match score and how much about long-term results?
At our club, the policy is as follows: "We do not aim to obtain medals and trophies, but to train footballers". We follow this motto so that, at the age of 14-15, the best of our children can transfer to bigger clubs. We also want the team spirit, respect and discipline gained within our club to be useful throughout their lives, not just in football.

9. What is more important for a young footballer, native talent or ambition and work?
After eight years of seeing so many talented and less talented children, my opinion is that ambition and work are more than just native talent.

10. Finally, tell us how people can get in touch with you and where they can see your performance.
