Underfloor heating. Advantages, disadvantages, installation.

Home is the place where you spend the most time and for this reason home should be the place that brings you comfort. Most people place great value on the finishes and arrangements of their home and try to organize everything so that they have as much space as possible. Today, the heating system you choose can ensure both thermal comfort and a generous space. Underfloor heating is such a system and an increasingly used choice.

In addition to the airy look that your home will enjoy, there are several advantages of this type of system.

• The heat will be evenly distributed in each room, from top to bottom;
• Because it is based on floor covering, it has a higher yield than others;
• Economic consumption obtained due to the moderate temperature of the thermal agent;
• More space available for furniture, due to lack of radiators;

Also, underfloor heating has some limitations or disadvantages.

• It involves a higher cost to purchase, to which are added labor costs;
• To reach the desired temperature, it needs more time;
• The furniture must be positioned according to the route of the installation, so as not to affect its efficiency.

How many variants are there and how do they work?
At the beginning, this type of heating only exists in the version with pipes (hydraulic heating). Later, it could be implemented with the help of electrical circuits (electric heating).

Hydraulic heating. Use water as the main source, and use polyethylene pipes for implementation. They are connected either to the boiler or to the hot water tank of the installation with solar panels. If you opt for this variant, you must know that it requires that the insulation be made with the help of a special layer to combat heat loss, positioned under the installation. No furniture can be placed on the installation route.
Electric heating. The characteristic elements of this installation are the electrical conductors, located on the entire floor surface, between the screed and the covering material. Electrical conductors operate on the basis of electrical resistors. This type of system does not take much time to produce footwear, unlike hydraulic heating, but the electricity consumption is high. As for the furniture, it can be placed anywhere.

How to install such a system?
The established implementation project is the first step in the assembly process. It is established after you finish the walls, assemble the carpentry and determine where the furniture will be placed.

For the hydraulic installation, the wet installation is predominant, which includes the placement of the devices under the screed. The process is based, as specified above, on detailed planning, but also on specialized help. The installation must be implemented taking into account the surface of the house.
However, there is also the possibility of implementation in a dry system, ie the placement of pipes under the floor, which will turn into a radiant panel.

The installation of the electrical installation is easier, because it uses a kit that comes bundled with accessories for measuring and cutting. The indispensable elements of this kit are: the support net, the sensors, the protection tubes and the electric cable. The cables are mounted respecting an equal distance between them, and the sensors are located in the middle of the spiral. The latter communicate with the thermostats and turn off the power supply when the desired temperature has been reached.
